‘A Land Down Under’ featured Australian artists and 330 students.
The audience was entertained to musical hits from the Easybeats, AC/DC, Guy Sebastian, Kylie Minogue along with a range of others.
A matinee and two evening performances were held on September 13 and 14 in the school hall.
Each student from K-6 participated in a class dance choreographed by their teacher.
A group of secondary students showcased their dance skills performing contemporary dance to ‘Take Me Over’ by Peking Duk which was skillfully actioned.
The school captains and prefects compared the concert with audiences in excess of 450 each night.
Dance is part of the PDHPE syllabus and allows the students to showcase what they have been learning.
Residents from Fairview Retirement Village and local pre-schools were invited to attend.
They enjoyed the concert immensely, as did the parents, grandparents and friends who came to watch ‘A Land Down Under’.
