The visit comes after Rabbit Hop Films’ Sascha Estens placed second in a nation-wide video competition searching for the best places to visit in regional Australia.
As runner-up in the competition, Sascha has won the opportunity for Moree to be featured in the November/December issue of Spirit magazine, which is available to all travellers on Qantas flights.
Sascha said she’s thrilled to receive this sort of positive exposure for Moree.
“I’m very excited for Moree,” she said.
“It gives us a good promotion.”
Spirit magazine editor Ben McKelbey and photographer Jason Ierace were in Moree last Thursday (September 14), spending the morning interviewing and photographing a handful of locals who featured in Sascha’s short film including Sascha herself, Merri-May Gill, Toby Osmond, Craig Estens, Andrew Crowe, Ruth Mathews and Sam Murphy.
A selection of the best of Moree will also be featured in the photos including Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre, a family property, a wheat crop, a citrus orchard, Mary Brand Park, Yaama Ganu gallery and more.
