The cancer support group donated $17,700 for the Moree District Health Service to purchase these modern, comfortable and user friendly treatment chairs.

Gail Quinn was receiving treatment in one of these chairs at the time of Wendy and Val’s visit.

She commented that the chairs are absolutely amazing and so comfortable.

Gail is also thrilled with the new Outreach Chemotherapy treatment area.

“This new area is much more spacious than the previous area.

“It enables more privacy and even more importantly, there is plenty of room for a family member to sit with me whilst I am having treatment.”

Gail also recounted that she can receive the same chemotherapy care in Moree as she would if she went to Sydney for treatment.

“The unit is Moree is amazing and the staff are so friendly and professional”.

Wendy Long and Val Lemmon recounted that they were very proud to be able to assist in enhancing the comfort of those receiving treatments in the Outreach Chemotherapy Unit and the refurbished Specialists Clinics.

Acute Health Service Manager, Bronwyn Cosh, thanked the Moree Cancer Support Group for their continued support of donated equipment.

“Their donations make the cancer treatment journey that little bit more comfortable for patients.

“This dedicated group have been supporting Chemotherapy Services since treatments were first commenced in Moree,” she said.

The Moree Cancer Support Group, throughout the year, continually raises money to assist the local hospital.

Together the group, donations from the community and Moree’s hospital staff strive to make the lives of people fighting cancer easier and more comfortable as possible.
