The annual event coincides with Father’s Day and is held at Jellicoe Park.
Twenty two restored vehicles from The Chrysler Restorers Club of Australia will be a showcase at this year’s event, according to Moree Motor Enthusiasts Club member Sonia Rowe.
This advertising feature is sponsored by the following businesses.
“It promises to be a very special display,” Ms Rowe said.
Club member Phil Partridge organised the first show ’n’ shine 12 years ago, initially as a fundraiser for his daughter’s school class trip to Japan.
It has become a fixture on the Moree social calendar, held to coincide with the local markets and Father’s Day, on September 3.
“There is so much for fathers and the whole family to see,” Ms Rowe said.
“There will be hot food, coffee and children’s rides as well as the local rural fire service and police displays.
“It has trade and dealer displays from local businesses plus everything automotive.
“There will be old and new trucks, tractors and every type of motorcycle you can imagine.
“There will also be hot rods, vintage and veteran cars, custom and competition cars.”
Ms Rowe said Moree Motor Enthusiasts Club was on the look-out for new members.
The club meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 7pm at the Masonic Lodge.
“We will have more than 20 cars to display as well as tractors, trucks and motorcycles just from members,” Ms Rowe said.
Taking your father to the park is a fun and memorable way to celebrate Father’s Day.
Here are some other ideas to mark the day.
Get together
Offer to cook lunch or dinner and have everyone over to your dad’s for a meal and a chance for some family time.
If you have siblings away from home get them to skype in.
Get walking
Go to your dad's favourite spot whether it is a beach, park, or mountain walk, nothing beats some fresh air at the weekend.
Gone fishing
What better way to relax than casting a line with your dad, enjoying the serenity by the lakes and catching up.
Even better if you manage to catch a fish, dinner is sorted.
Catch a game
Put your footy differences aside for the day and catch a game with your dad.
Whether it is at the footy ground or on TV at your local pub, nothing beats game day atmosphere.
Or if your dad prefers a stroll around the green organise a golf day for both of you or get the family involved, have a Father’s Day tournament.
