The Children’s Book Council of Australia Children’s Book Week 2017 runs from August 9 to 26 and this year’s theme is ‘Escape to Everywhere’. Each yeah Book Week aims to bring children and books together.
Moree Public School celebrated with a Book Week costume parade on Tuesday.
Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland and Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz were just some of the characters spotted on Tuesday, along with plenty of minions, superheroes, princesses, witches, dinosaurs and cowboys and cowgirls.
Moree East Public School and St Philomena’s will be having their Book Week parades this Friday, August 25, while Moree Christian School held their parade last Tuesday.
