The Moree regional team are now preparing for the finals in Tamworth at the weekend, hoping to keep their spot on top.
Players Tina Macey, Ange Coy, Annie Horton, Katie McMeniman, Claudia Turner, Hannah Brown, Melissa Everingham, Kathryn Minogue and Lauraine Fechner played three rounds to make the final.
The first round was held in Inverell, averaging four to five games per round, and the ladies won every single game.
Gunnedah held the next round and their only loss of the day was to Narrabri in the first game.
Coach Brooke Clark said the loss did not deter them.
“They really put their game faces on and won every game after,” she said.
Last weekend the team were in Gunnedah for the final round before the finals.
Moree was the standout team of the day, winning every single of their games.
“As coaches myself and Amber Brown could not be more happy for the girls to finish on top of the table.”
Moree finished with 26 points and Narrabri fell second six points behind. Quirindi placed third with 16 points.
The regional league competition consisted of teams from Moree, Inverell, Narrabri, Glen Innes, Armidale and Quirindi.
Three points are allocated for a win and two for a loss. In the result of a tie each team receives one point.
Good luck at the weekend Moree Regional Netball Team.
