Council’s bulky waste kerbside collection service helps Moree Plains' households dispose of unwanted materials such as mattresses, e-waste, white goods and broken furniture, as well as oversized garden prunings, scrap metal and wood.
The collection truck won’t be driving up and down the streets looking for waste piles, you must register your address with the Waste Hotline on 1300 736 719 or email NWwasteservices@cleanaway.com.au to ensure your waste pile is collected.
For households in Moree and the surrounding area including Gurley, Gwydirville and Bendygleet, you must register with the Waste Hotline by Friday, August 4 for the collection that begins Monday, August 7.
For villages and surrounding areas including Ashley, Biniguy, Boggabilla, Boomi, Garah, Mungindi, Pallamallawa, Vitonga Road, Weemelah and Yarraman, you must register by Friday, August 11 for pick-ups beginning Monday, August 14.
Council offers two free scheduled Bulky Waste Collections each year - one in March and one in August to households that receive a weekly kerbside wheelie bin collection service. Those residents not receiving this service can bring household waste to the Moree Waste Management Facility and dispose of sorted domestic waste for free.
An information flyer will arrive in your mailbox with specific details about the bulky waste collection.
To prevent wind-blown rubbish from spoiling the environment and for public safety, please don’t start piling items on the kerb until the weekend before the collection.
