Moree Area Homelessness Service (MAHS) will host a trivia night on Friday to raise funds and awareness.

Tying in with 2017 Homelessness Week (July 7-13) the fun evening will highlight a serious issue in the Moree community; homelessness.

Funds raised on the night will assist MAHS to purchase essential items such as food, bedding and blankets for at-risk and homeless people in the shire.

Tables are still available for anyone wishing to support the event. Although tables are of eight, individuals can book and be put with groups to complete numbers.

There will be a number of prizes on the evening as well as a huge raffle. The event will commence at 6pm at the Moree and District Services Club.

Bookings are essential by calling 6752 1550.

Afterwards, the 2017 Hike for Homeless, also organised by MAHS, will see member of the community walk from Moree to Ashley on August 5.
