Twenty-two students marched from the school to Rigby Oval to kick off the day’s events with team Wilma winning the marching competition.
The Gwydir Mobile of Pally Preschool joined the school in the morning and had a great time running the 50m race, playing ball games and also cheering on older siblings and friends.
In the morning, students were divided into their age groups to compete in the 50m, 100m, 200m and 800m running races and after lunch they competed in long jump, shot put, discus and high jump.
A great effort was put in all round with students trying their personal best.
The day concluded with a tug-of-war and relay between Wattle and Wilga, with Wilga the victors.
Parents also competed in their own tug-of-war which became very serious, while the parents relay brought in lots of laughs. Thank you to Mrs Jodi Rigby for her stunning finish.
Ribbons were handed out at the presentation, with Wilga finishing with the most points.
Well done to Pallamallawa Public School teachers and students for a fantastic fun filled day. Thank you to the preschool for coming and joining in, hopefully we will see these little people return of students of the school.
Relieving principal, Ms Sharyn Pigeon also did a special thankyou to all parents and P and C members.
She said without the parents, running sports days like today wouldn't be possible with only two teachers on staff.
Zone students to be advised at a later date.
