All students gave their best efforts against some tough competition and gained valuable experience for future years, especially the eight and nine-year-olds, some of who were competing in their first zone cross country.
In the 8/9 years age division Chloe Gillogly came in 17th and Allira Stolzenberg came 23rd in the girl’s race.
Max Gillogly came sixth, Gordie Cooper and Lachlan Miller came 18th and 19th respectively, Jack Farr placed 28th, followed closely by Tyler Stolzenberg in 29th position in the boy’s race.
Ruby Stewart finished the 10-year-old girls race in 14th position and in the 10-year-old boys event, Angus McPherson crossed the line in 18th place.
In the 12/13 years age division Thomas Roach narrowly missed out on moving on to the next level coming in in 10th position.
Max’s sixth place in the 8/9 years boys event will see him join the Narrabri Zone Team that will compete at the North West Area Cross Country Trials at Coolah on Friday, June 16.
Well done everyone and we wish Max the best of luck at Coolah.
