Each month polls open and members of the group nominate different services, businesses and individuals in the community to be recognised. Local paramedics received more than 260 votes to take the top spot for February.
Ambulance station officer Tom accepted the award with staff recently. “The staff really appreciate getting feedback from the public and are extremely proud to serve the community. It’s always great to this kind of recognition like this as well as receiving thankyou letters to hear how people are going,” he said.
Voting for this month’s award will close at 6pm on Friday, March 31. Animal Welfare League are currently placed first with around 130 votes followed by new cafe 61 Balo with over 90 votes.
