Manager Julie Jones encourages Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to come in and have a hot dog and a chat.
“We want to make sure we’re getting everyone talking about their medications and their health,” she said.
“Close the Gap is all about making things accessible.”
National Close the Gap Day is an annual event aimed at raising awareness of the divide between the health of indigenous and other Australians.
With the life expectancy for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people close to 20 years less than non-indigenous Australians, Close the Gap Day aims to bring people together, to share information and to take meaningful action in support of achieving Indigenous health equality by 2030.
