The Moree Picnic Races, to be held on Saturday, May 27, is a darling of the social calendar and this year will be no exception.
President, Sally Glynn said organisation of this year’s event is well under way, with exceptionally strong interest on the track, and off.
“I think we’ll have a particularly strong line up for our six race meeting, ensuring a great day of racing and a great excuse for a flutter,” Ms Glynn said.
Trackside Picnic traditions still reign supreme, with crowd favourites such as a marquee picnic luncheon, highly competitive Fashions on the Field and evening dinner dance all complementary to the racing the program.
“Over the next few weeks I’ll be very excited to announce our entertainment for the evening – and with past acts including nationally acclaimed performers such as Lisa Hunt and The Groove Academy, this year’s entertainment is sure not to disappoint.”
Fashionistas of the region will also have the opportunity for some off the track winnings, with prizes for the highly coveted Fashions on the Field.
