In partnership with Regional Development Australia Northern Inland, local businesses and the Mungindi Progress Association, council is celebrating local businesses as part of the NSW government initiative, ‘Back to Business Week’.
“Council has received a grant from the NSW government to participate in the initiative by hosting and supporting key business events within the Shire.” Moree Plains Shire Council’s economic and community development manager Mark Connolly said.
“We have three events on offer; a Go Digital Business Workshop, a Moree Business Dinner Forum and a Mungindi Business Dinner Forum”.
The first event is the Go Digital workshop which will be held on Wednesday, March 1 at Moree Services Club function room at 5.30pm. The workshop is for businesses looking to develop an online business, or those looking to build their online profile through social media and blogging.
“We received a wealth of feedback from our recent business surveys and a dominant theme amongst local retail businesses was a desire to know more about social media and online trading, so we are thrilled to have Go Digital here to get them started,” Mr Connolly said.
The Moree and Mungindi Dinner Forums will be held this Thursday and Friday and are a great opportunity to get together and network with local business people and hear about local success stories.
These evenings will be emceed by local poet Murray Hartin and local guest speakers will tell their stories and share their business experiences.
The Moree Business Networking Forum will be held on Thursday, March 2 at the Max Centre from 6.30pm, while the Mungindi event will be held on Friday, March 3 at the Mungindi RSL Club from 7pm.
Dinner will be provided at both.
