Well, Moree’s BMX Club will host their first race meet for the 2017 season on Friday night.
And they are looking for new families to be involved.
Friday evening will mark the start of the club’s third anniversary of re-establishment in Moree for many years.
“We had about 20 people involved last year so we hope to attract new faces this year,” said publicity officer Kat Williams said.
The club is excited for the development of a new canteen facility this year, hopefully to be ustalised by the many new recruits.
The canteen will include kitchen facilities and toilets with disabled access and security.
The social event will start at 6pm with registrations, a barbecue and a chance to catch up with friends.
“Make sure you bring your birth certificate and wear long pants, a long shirt, have covered in shoes, gloves and a helmet.
“Water is also important with our current heat conditions,” she said.
New recruits will be placed into skill-level divisions, instead of ages, to ensure riders are grouped with similar peers when on the track.
The BMX track is located at the end of Endeavour Lane, Moree.
“Just keep following the dirt round around and you’ll see the track.
“We’ve had a lot of people say they’d like to come so hopefully we get a good turnout,” she said.
