Police have charged a man following an armed robbery in Moree last night.

At about 9.50pm (Wednesday, January 18), a man entered a supermarket in a shopping centre on Balo Street, Moree.
It is alleged the man then threatened a 23-year-old shop attendant with a sharp implement and demanded money.
The man then allegedly took packets of tobacco and left the scene on foot.
Officers from Barwon Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
A short time later, officers located a 35-year-old man on Iris Street, Moree.
The man was arrested and taken to Moree police station charged with armed robbery.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in Inverell Local Court today (Thursday, January 19).
