The workshops will be held from Monday, January 23 to Wednesday, January 25 and again the following week on Monday, January 30 to Wednesday, February 1 from 10am to 1pm.
All children aged five to 17 are welcome to participate in the art classes which will be packed full of fun activities, focussing on sculpture and tactile art.
“It’s going to be quite messy and really fun,” Moree Plains Gallery education officer Janelle Boyd said.
The program will include making clay out of cornflour and baking soda which will then be used to create sculptures. Participants will also have the opportunity to dabble in filmmaking, with the use of a GoPro and editing program available.
Children will get messy and wet, so Ms Boyd encourages parents to pack a towel and clothes they are willing to “get trashed”, as well as a hat, sunscreen and snacks.
Cost is $15 per child, per day.
Bookings are essential and can be made by calling Moree Plains Gallery on 6757 3320.
