Moree Mission School was open from 1933 to 1971 and all former students who attended during this time, and their partners, are invited to the reunion – the first one ever organised.
The idea for the reunion was that of former student Eddie Pitt.
“Normally people are always asking where old school friends are and the only way we’ll see our school friends come back is a school reunion,” he said.
“It’s been talked about for 10 years or more.”
Mr Pitt and a small committee of fellow students have been planning the reunion for the past few months.
They are expecting a large crowd with many former students travelling from all over the country to attend.
People are asked to bring along any mission school memorabilia including photos, badges and plenty of stories.
The reunion is being held at Moree Services Club on Friday, January 27 at 5pm for a 5.30pm start.
Cost is $20 per person which includes a light supper and entertainment. Tickets will be sold at the door.
Dress is smart casual and transport is available by calling 6752 1566.
