TWO men have been hospitalised after a crash blocked the Newell Highway near Moree this morning.

Paramedics released one person after a 90-minute operation following the crash between a ute and semi-trailer 30km north of Moree.
The 28-year-old front seat passenger of the car was trapped in the vehicle for 90 minutes. He was taken to Moree Hospital with a serious leg and hip injury.
The second patient, a 52-year-old man who was the driver of the ute, suffered hip, leg and abdominal injuries, an Ambulance spokesman said.
A recsue helicopter spokesman said both men also suffered chest injuries.
One was taken to Moree Hospital via road ambulance while the Westpac Rescue Helicopter airlifted the other to the same hospital.
The truck driver was taken to Moree Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The Newell Highway has re-opened.
No decision has been yet as to whether the injured will be flown to either Tamworth or John Hunter hospitals.
