This is the third year in a row that Mr Crump has grown a mo in support of the hairy cause.
Movember aims to raise awareness and funds to support men’s health, in particular prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health.
Mr Crump said he was motivated to take up the challenge of growing his facial hair “to change the face of men’s health”.
“I see it in my work as a health professional at Moree Hospital and I see it with my friends as well,” Mr Crump said.
Mr Crump has raised a total of $4,000 in the previous two years he has participated in Movember – $1400 the first year and $3000 last year.
A lot of people say it suits me, others say I look like a porno star.

This year he is looking to do even better.
“This year I aim to raise even more awareness and money for this very worthwhile organisation,” he said.
“If I do beat my goal, I’m happy, but if I don’t, I’ll still be happy.”
Mr Crump would greatly appreciate the community’s support and sponsorship, whether it be a $50 donation or $5.
“It doesn’t matter what people would like to support me, small or large, it all helps with awareness,” he said.
Prior to participating in Movember, Mr Crump has never had a moustache but said he wouldn’t grow one any other time.
“The mo starts on the 1st of November and comes off pretty quickly at the end of the month,” he said.
“A lot people say it suits me, other people say I look like a porno star.”
Movember isn’t the only cause Mr Crump is passionate about, having just participated in his 12th Relay for Life over the weekend. He also took part in his third Hike for the Homeless in August.
“I’m fairly community-minded, always have been,” Mr Crump said.
While he understands that asking for more donations from people is a lot, Mr Crump hopes the Moree community will once again get behind him.
Mr Crump encourages other Moree men to step up and take on the challenge of growing a mo. Women can also join in by taking part in Move – a daily exercise challenge.
