Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton announced $20,000 towards the project through round two of the Coalition Government’s Stronger Communities Programme (SCP).
Mr Coulton said that the project certainly fulfilled the intention of the Coalition’s SCP.
“The purpose of this programme is to improve local community participation and cohesion whilst contributing to vibrant and viable communities,” Mr Coulton said.
“The addition of public toilets is a necessity for the village as it hosts a number of regular events and meetings which results in a large number of people visiting the area.”
Mr Coulton is a passionate advocate of the Stronger Communities Programme and was overwhelmed by the community response he received.
