The 2016 special awards were handed to Aaron Dudgeon named Clubman of the Year along with Rhys Smith who received Chris McIntosh Memorial Trophy and Bryce Raveneau who was awarded the 2016 Paul Phelps perpetual award.
In the junior league tag best and fairest was awarded to Ashlyn Tape, most dedicated was Tamzin Taunton and most improved was Morgan O’Dempsey. Kelinyaar Munro was coaches choice and Nekkiiah Murray received the encouragement award.
Best and fairest in senior league tag was handed to Jordan McKenzie, most dedicated player was Ellie Rae and Georgia Beatty was most improved. The coaches choice went to Kiara Smith and Jorja Warrener. Delta Swan and Jalika Leslie were named best middle.
Under 10s best and fairest was Kye Boland, best forward was Justin Egan and best back went to Jahleel Duncan. Most improved was awarded to Jace Swan.
Darcy Brazel, Luke Annis-Brown, Ben Di Donna and Cooper Ireland were most dedicated players.
Jovan Raveneau was named best and fairest in the under 12s, Cody Picker was best forward and best back was Layne Raveneau.
Coaches choice was Andrew Pegus. Most dedicate was awarded to Leith Glendinning and Jeff Annis-Brown.
In the under 14s Mark Pegus was best and fairest, best forward was Jacob Robinson and best back Branden Barker.
The most dedicated was Malu French and coaches choice was David Annis-Brown. Most improved was Bryce Raveneau
Luke McDonald was named best and fairest in the under 16s with best forward awarded to Matthew Annis-Brown and best back to Rhys Smith.
Most improved was Adrian Smith and coaches choice went to Jett Sampson. Most dedicated went to Jayden Warrener-Taylor.
President Paul Raveneau wanted to extend his thanks to everyone who assisted for the 2016 season.
“We had a great season. The under 14s were able to win a grand final and each player had many outstanding moments on the field.”
The final score in the under 14s grand final against Glen Innes was 26-10 to Moree.
Coach Aaron Annis-Brown was impressed by the boys’ ability to hold onto the ball, considering wet conditions.
“I am very proud of the under 14s boys. They played an outstanding season and were the most deserving team. They’ve continuously supported each other throughout the year.”
