All the glitz and glamour has worn off, we now finally know what ‘fetch’ means and the students and staff are back to their regular routines.
Mean Girls: The Musical was a success, with two nearly sold-out performances last Thursday and Friday night.
There was great feedback from the audiences, who were very impressed with the local talent and they enjoyed the show immensely.
When asked about her overall thoughts of the production, from start to finish, Ms Elle Raine said, “I felt like it was the energy and excitement that was infectious, both onstage and backstage, and I’m incredibly proud of the students for their commitment to each other and the musical.”
Ms Cassie Turnbull also commented, “It was a fantastic experience to work with such an amazing group of students. I couldn’t be more proud of everyone involved and can’t wait until next year”.
The MSC crew would like to thank everyone who supported our endeavour, including the students who participated, the staff who gave up their time to help and the community, who supported us by coming to the show.
Without all of these people, the show would not have been the success that it was. This public thank you is also tinged with a little sadness, particularly from the cast and crew, as it’s all done and dusted.
Until next year, that is. Again, another massive thanks from all of us at MSC to all of you and enjoy some of these behind the scenes footage.
Mean Girls was based on the 2004 comedy, following Rosalind Wiseman's non-fiction self-help book Queen Bees and Wannabes, illustrating female high school social cliques and the damaging effects they can have on girls.
