The grand final will be held at Inverell’s Varley Oval this Sunday, August 28 with Moree to be represented by three teams – the Boars girls league tag side who kick off at 10am and the Boars and Boomerangs reserve teams who will take to the field at 1.15pm.
The Boars went straight through to the grand final after defeating Inverell 42-6 in the major semi two weeks ago. The Boomerangs then knocked the Hawks out of grand final contention last weekend.
Boars reserve coach Scott Girard said he is confident his side can take home the trophy this Sunday.
“We just want to stick to our original game plan and if we stick to that, we’ll be very hard to beat,” he said.
Girard said he is very proud of the boys.
“They’ve had a great year together,” he said. “I’m that proud of them; they’re a great bunch of blokes.”
