Secretary Tony Woodham said they couldn’t have asked for a better day, with an excellent crowd and beautiful weather.
“It was way beyond our expectations,” he said.
“The support that we got from the crowd down there on Sunday was fantastic. Moree people are very generous.”
All 20 Anzac-themed guernseys were sold during the auction, with number one going for the highest price, at $520, to Barry Ryan.
“It was a spirited competition for most of them … some of the guernseys went for astronomical prices,” Mr Woodham said. “It was great to see everyone willingly participate in our auction.”
All proceeds will go towards supporting the great work the Men of League do in the community.
Mr Woodham would like to thank Todd Mitchell and the Moree Boars committee for their support.
