The centre was buzzing as locals had a blast prancing down the catwalk for the fashion show while the audience sipped on champagne and cash flowed in the auction.
It was the first event hosted by Orenda Bazaar, a small group of local women who hope to promote Moree as a shopping destination. With 107 tickets sold and 40 stores participating altogether, the group were blown away by the success.
"We were very overwhelmed. It just kept getting bigger and bigger,” organiser Krystelle Parsons said. “It was definitely more than what we were expecting to raise in in one night.”
Krystelle said the group were proud to support the hospital, and the ward most locals visit at some point. She said Orenda Bazaar was all about helping the local community and wanted the funds to stay in town.
