After taking a break over the Anzac Day long weekend the NIPL resumes on Saturday.
The Moree side has yet to score a goal in their first three games of the season, conceding 21.
They’ll head in to the clash with Easts, hoping to turn their 2016 season around.
Moree put up a solid fight against defending premiers Oxley Vale Attunga in their last outing and will try and build on that performance.
In Saturday’s other games Namoi United play North Companions with the latter only notching their first win of the season last weekend while Namoi are yet to win a game and conceded 30 goals in the process.
Tamworth FC verse OVA, South Armidale play table toppers Norths United and Demon Knights face off against the struggling Inverell Joeys FC. While Norths have had such big wins early on in the season, co-coach Neil Wheaton is reluctant to pump up his team’s chances believing they are yet to face the competition’s top sides.
“We have had a bit of a cruisy start,” he said.
“We haven’t really played any top opposition unfortunately.
“The three teams we have played have lost a lot of players and they are sort of in the re-building stage.
“So it is hard to say at the moment where we stack but we will just keep doing what we are doing and see how it all pans out. We are nearly full strength,” Wheaton said.
