For the last 18 years Col Pring has been involved in a lot of fundraising and volunteering for the Moree community.
“Over the years I have done a lot of fundraising most was with the motorcycle club with motorcycle poker runs for the Westpac helicopter, cancer council and camp quality, children that are dealing with cancer and their parents do it tough,” he said.
“Over the period of time that I have been motorcycle poker runs we have raised $100,000's of dollars. I had a lot to do with establishing Moree BMX club, with the help of good young people is still running nicely.”
Mr Pring believes that Drinks for Drought has been one of his better achievements and is still continuing today.
“The fact that people got behind that in the first place is the reason why I got the recognition that I have.”
Mr Pring said that he has been lucky and has a great passion for Moree.
“You never know when it’s going to be yourself that needs help. I get great pleasure out of helping people. To know it’s appreciated, it’s a great thing.”
