For the past 122 years TAS has been a boys’ school, but last year the decision was made to move to full co-education this year.
“I feel like I’ve been here for more than two weeks, I’m right at home,” says Ellen (Year 10), who had a head start on the other new students, spending the final days of her holidays at drama camp rehearsing for the school musical Bye Bye Birdie.
Chloe, in Year 9, agreed: “It has been really easy to settle in to – everyone has gone out of their way to make the girls feel welcome.”
Also from the Moree district starting at TAS are Oliver Clark (Year 7), Henry Pitman (Year 7), Heath Whibley (Crooble) and his cousin Heath Whibley (Pallamallawa).
“It’s been pretty good so far. I’ve really enjoyed making some new friends, as well as being here with a lot of boys who I know from Moree,” said Henry.
