Registrar, Kat Williams, said new riders of all ages were welcome to attend the evening.
“Our youngest rider is two years old and boys and girls are able to ride. You just need long pants, a long shirt, a helmet and gloves,” she said.
The riders compete in five races during the evening, being split into different skill levels for the race.
“They have three races, then break and have another two. The sign on time is 6pm and races will start at 6.15pm,” Williams said.
In a fortnight from Friday, the club will host their first Christmas party/ presentation evening.
“Because it is our first year back, we will have a Rider’s Rider trophy and a Most Improved. We are hoping from next year to have a points system,” she said.
Overall, Williams said the 2015 BMX season had been successful.
“We are hoping next year for more riders and more parents involved. We have the Clarence Valley BMX Club booked to come over in September so that should be fun. Kids can have a try at BMX and watch some of the more experienced riders,” she said.
“We have a lot of exciting, new things planned for 2016 and the more people who get involved in the club; the more we will be able to do.”
The BMX track is located at 128 Endeavour Lane, Moree behind Miyay Birray.
