Over 130 worshipers gathered at the PCYC to celebrate the milestone of the church and the journey they have undertaken over the years.
The ‘Wild Wild West’ theme involved dress-up for the children and fun and games revolving around the theme.
During the service, children performed a song and a contemporary dance. Members of the church also shared their stories of their journey over the years.
Paster, Stephen Lott, said the church started in a small room of 25 people at the PCYC.
“There has been a steady growth of members,” Paster Lott said.
“It is not about the numbers it is about making people feel accepted and loved and want to keep coming back.
“The church brings people into an environment where they don’t have to be something or someone they can just be themselves.”
Paster Lott said he has been a part of the Lifehouse church for 13 years and moved here three years ago to start a church in Moree.
“We saw Moree as a great community where we could serve people and invest and connect with the community.
“It has been a great experience. The journey over the past three years has been exciting and part of that has been the Lifehouse shop and pantry. I think being able to stop and celebrate is important in every aspect of life but the celebration is really about looking forward as a church in the community.”
The Lifehouse hope to have their own venue by the end of the year.
