Their annual ball and workshop was hosted at the weekend.
Gordon Elliot, one of the top choreographers in the country, again donated his time to instruct the 50-plus attendees at the workshop.
About 70 line dancers then enjoyed a ball on Saturday evening.
Visitors travelled from as far as Sydney and Brisbane.
Local instructor, Michelle Chalmers, said the Moree dancers travelled to other group’s socials during the year, with them returning the favour.
Each club learns from Gordon’s “easy to follow” CDs and dance sheets throughout the year and at each gathering the organisers “put the music on, and they dance”.
“We all get together and have a good time,” Mrs Chalmers said.
“It’s for all ages and we welcome everybody,” she said.
“We do dance to a lot of modern songs which the young people don’t realise,” she said. “We would like to get a few more young ones involved.”
The event was also a fundraiser for Moree Can Assist.
“We donate to different charities each year,” Mrs Chalmers said.
“This year we are supporting Can Assist as all the money stays locally, and this year having dealt with them first-hand, I know how amazing they are,” she said.
“I can’t put into words how important it is to have this service available locally.”
The Moree Bootscooters meet at the Moree and District Services Club from 6.30-9pm each Tuesday and Thursday if you would like to join.
