I AM a keen advocate for good morals, wholesome family values and relationships. In my view same sex marriage desecrates these values.
Marriage is mankind’s first family institution and the first binding agreement between a man and a woman for the procreation and nurturing of children constituting family in the truest, purest and honourable sense.
For any government to legislate to legitimise a homosexual or lesbian relationship in ‘marriage’ by law would, in my view, constitute nothing less than treason.
Furthermore, to legalise a homosexual or lesbian relationship in marriage would be a critical error in moral ethics and judgement.
This single issue reveals much about the moral character of government and the moral fortitude or weakness of its leadership.
I for one desire a leadership who are principled and strong in moral character and a government whose members adhere to wholesome family values and who are prepared to stand and give account for what he or she believes to be ethically and or morally correct.
It is imperative that our hearts and minds not be influenced by those who love that which is evil and unnatural and who hate that which is morally good and right. Sadly, and in my view, this lifestyle and behaviour has corrupted the minds of many in our society to the degree that even those in authority have been beguiled.
With that said, I would hope that as a nation, Australia would lay hold of and keep to that which is natural, wholesome and morally pure by maintaining wholesome family values and relationships including the current marriage act and definition which states ‘marriage is the union between a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others’.
