THE annual Dragons versus Rabbitohs charity shield bowls day was again successful. There were 18 teams of fours for the day with many teams regular supporters of the event.

The mighty Dragons came out on top. New England Mutual Moree branch manager, Bronte Egan, said it was the first time in a few years so victory was sweet for the Dragon supporters.
“We were fortunate to have two jerseys donated this year, one Dragons and one Rabbitohs,” Egan said.
“Michael Ivanov put these items to auction which soon became a hotly contested event. “Congratulations to Casey O’Hara who came out on top winning both the auctions.”
About $2200 was raised on the day to go to Fairview’s Alzheimer’s and dementia housing.
Egan thanked the sponsors for their support and said she looked forward to seeing everyone back again for next year’s event.
