Assef's has filled one of its larger displays with war memorabilia of those who served their country at war and came back to work at the store. It also opened the space to members of the general public.
Secretary of the Moree RSL Sub Branch Michael Hankey, who works at Assef's, arranged the display.
Among the items is a Bible carried by Alf Scott when he served during WWII. Upon returning to Moree after the war Mr Scott worked at the department store for 57 years.
Also on display is the military jacket of John Assef.
Wise Words Book Shop is also displaying Anzac themed books. The Gift Barrel has war memorabilia and Cooper & Smith Optometrists has a display with original images and documents.
