Moree will have a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre once again with the Federal Member for Parkes, Mark Coulton, confirming the Roy Thorne Substance Misuse Rehabilitation Centre will be re-opened.

The announcement coincided with the visit of Federal Assistant Minister for Health Fiona Nash, who gave a talk and fielded questions from the public at the Yaama Ganu Centre over lunch today.
The new centre will be run by the Wellington Aboriginal Corporation Health Service (WACHS) along with the St Vincent de Paul Society.
The local Pius X Aboriginal Corporation was unsuccessful in its request for tender to run the centre.
