His first win came in the third with One Double, ridden by Darren Jones.
It must have been a sign as the trainer and jockey made it a double, winning the last with Booked Out.
“That old fella, he begun really well, got to the front and gave ‘em all something to chase,” Jones said.
“He led the whole way and he always had enough in the tank. He was just too good for ‘em today.”
Andrew Gray, who has decided to get into the game himself after “training a few” with Sinclair, was happy for his mate.
Riddling Miss placed third in the first, a good improvement on her first run in Gunnedah in January.
“I knew the race was too short but she finished off well,” Gray said.
“I’ve got another little race in mind for her.
“Peter’s been very good to me over the years but I thought I’d give it a go myself,” he said.
