There is no excuse for cruelty to animals.
One wonders of the mentality of owners who are not only breaking the cruelty to animals law but their audacity to expect others in the neighbourhood to put up with this cruel, unfeeling and heartless action of tying and chaining their dogs for days, weeks and months with no end for the animal in sight.
Other people in the vicinity continuously witness and hear these poor defenceless, so called “man’s best friend” bark, moan and howl day in and day out for months.
For the animals’ sake please dob in the owner in this situation who obviously does not care mainly about the animal, the law and or others feelings.
What purpose is there with dogs being chained with no relief and what service is accomplished, apart from the prolonged misery it inflicts on the animal?
These perpetrators of tying and chaining the necks of dogs should try this practice, not on their defenceless so called pets, but themselves.
Nothing can be so priceless on a property that warrants this uncalled for behaviour, and what can dogs do anyway on a chain?
I believe we must come together as soon as possible to help stop this cruel and uncalled practice that is throughout our town, a situation that is growing and gaining too much momentum for authorities to keep up with.
It’s a huge shire for authorities to keep up with.
