Tony Bailey and Peter Weal handed over the cheque to Charlie Bunce (centre) on Friday.
Mr Bailey said the money was raised at an annual golf day towards the end of last year.
“The Moree Desperates golf group hosts a get together of mostly agriculturally-based players each year where we get good sponsorship from resellers in town and national chemical companies,” he said.
“We had about 50 players last year and raised a bit over $20,000. The other half of the money we gave to the golf club, the same as the year prior, to help with improvements to the course.”
Mr Bunce said Fairview’s donation would go towards the renovation of the oldest part of the nursing home, Perry James Lodge.
He said the bathrooms were first on the list for the project of the 52-year-old complex which currently houses about 26 residents.
