A series of ‘meet the candidates’ events are being hosted to ensure NSW Farmers members are seen and heard during this election campaign.
“It is an opportunity for you to represent your region and raise rural and agricultural issues that are important to you,” a NSW Farmers spokesperson said.
The event comes as the organisation continues its #StandUp4Farmers campaign.
The aim is to give country NSW voters a voice on the issues impacting rural and regional communities.
The www.standupforfarmers.com.au website lets users rate an MP, giving them a score out of 10 in the lead-up to the March 28 state election, and provides a platform to be heard on issues like drought, investment, farmers' rights and farmgate profits .
The meet the candidates event will see questions answered as a Q and A-style panel.
Dinner will be hosted afterwards.
Speakers include Adam Marshall MP - The Nationals sitting member, David Mailler - Independent candidate, Mercurius Goldstein - The Greens candidate and Debra O'Brien - Country Labor candidate.
The event will be hosted at The Max from 5.30pm on Thursday.
To register and to order your meal for the evening visit the upcoming events section on the NSW Farmers website.
