Miss McLennan said she’d grown up seeing her mother use Enjo, a product which claims to remove cancer causing chemicals from people’s houses.
Miss McLennan moved to Moree, after living in a small-country town, and through her teaching career made a small circle of friends.
“I decided to start doing home expos in Moree to meet new friends. In my home town you’d walk into a supermarket and know everyone by their first name so I really missed it. Once I started the expos the product just grew and became very popular,” she said.
Miss McLennan’s relationships grew, along with the popularity of the product which prevents 28 litres of chemicals from entering Moree’s water ways and 60 plastic bottles being burnt or going into landfill every year.
“I mainly sell the product on Facebook and I was almost up to 150 likes so I said if I get to that goal of likes, I would donate $150 to the foundation. So I donated it, but that wasn’t even the most I’d donated before. Thanks to my clients, I was able to raise $190 in one night for the McGrath Foundation, which goes to help provide breast care nurses to those in need and luckily we have one in Moree,” she said.
The average cost of a breast cancer nurse for a three-year period equates to $370,000.
“I am just really glad that I can sell something that’s environmentally friendly, healthy, affordable and time saving. When clients buy these products they are able to help people who are dealing with cancer,” Miss McLennan said.
