The first to be commemorated, the 50 year anniversary of the Freedom Rides visit to Moree, will take place from February 15 -22.
The commemoration will feature a full events program organised by Moree Plains Shire Council.
Locals have been urged to get onboard and organise an event for the Moree Plains Shire Council 2015 Calendar of Events.
Whether its a small morning tea or big educational event, the council is encouraging all to get involved.
The second will be the Anzac Day centenary, celebrated on April 25, the same day as the annual Moree show.
A number of grants have been handed out to those who will be commemorating the day throughout the region.
Hopefully everyone joins in for the big community events planned.
