Profits from last year’s Golden Grain ball enabled the club to purchase an accuvein machine worth about $7500.
Nurse unit manager, Sue Coleman, said the device put off a light patients put their hand under which shows the most suitable vein to insert a drip.
“It’s just fabulous,” Ms Coleman said.
“It is very useful, makes our job much easier and makes it much better for the person getting the needle,” she said.
“We’d love to get some more.”
