It has come to my notice that a public forum will be held on December 3 at 12pm at the Moree and District War Memorial Centre.

The forum is open to the public and groups that are interested in having a museum in this building.
I believe that this meeting resulted from feedback received at the previous meeting held in June 2014 regarding the future use of this building, and I am very pleased to see this happening.
But why, have this forum at midday? The last meeting was held after working hours, and was very successful, with a very good attendance.
The time for this meeting is not appropriate for most of the general public.
I have spoken to a number of people who attended the last meeting and they have informed me that they want to attend but his time is very unsuitable.
Many of those that can attend will be in their lunch hour and one hour will not be enough time to discuss all the issues.
Many of these forums can go on for at least two hours or more.
Now the question I would like to be answered is, who came up with this time?
Is this apparently to suit themselves?
Was it the trustees of the centre?
This is not the first time councils have held forums that are poorly attended by the having them at unsuitable times.
