The two starting times of 7.30am and 12pm were evenly popular.
Lions Club president, Damien Crump, said the weather was sunny and provided perfect conditions for a day on the green.
“A highlight for the day was the target shot on hole seven and there were a few nearest to the pin winners as well, but the overall winners on the day were the team of Girards,” he said.
The target shot on hole seven encouraged golfers to hit their ball, for a fee of $10, into the designated target.
“Those who reached the target went into the draw to win five prizes: two return flights to Sydney, a jumping castle hire for the day, a nose groomer, a sprinkler and water filtration purifier.
“Steve Scholl was the lucky winner of the two return flights to Sydney. We had a lot of interest in the target shot and we think the day was quite successful,” he said.
Other highlights included the three meat trays raffled off and the overall support from the community.
“We want to say a big thank you to the golf club and our generous sponsors who continue to contribute to the Lions Club each and every year,” Mr Crump said.
So far more than $5000 has been raised from the day.
“The money will be put into local causes through the Lions Club. Each year we support these causes to help and improve the community,” he said
