“Scott has been with MAAC since March 2014, initially appointed as business manager. Scott brings a wealth of business experience to the facility having previously run large sporting and hospitality organisations and the board looks forward to working with him,” Mr Hirst said.
In addition, as part of the change in structure, Julie Rushby will assume the role of chief operating officer with the focus on developing a variety of events.
In this role, Ms Rushby will focus on growing the existing patronage of the MAAC pools and associated facilities by working closely with the many organisations that frequent MAAC.
“The board is very pleased with the focus being placed upon each aspect of MAAC by the team. Changes are continuing to be considered to improve the amenity of this magnificent facility and we are working with management to prepare long term master plans for future innovations,” Mr. Hirst said.
“MAAC is a complex business requiring many different skill bases to deliver a quality experience for the Moree community and its visitors. Obviously, the key to success is to deliver a unique water experience and this is the board’s primary focus.”
