The Agricultural Societies Council of NSW Youth Group will host the 2014 Northern Cocktail Ball at the Max Centre, on Saturday.
Organiser, Toni Jericho, said it was the second year Moree has hosted the ball, as the year prior it was held in Narrabri.
“Wagga Wagga has hosted a similar ball for the past 10 years and it has been very successful. We thought it would be a good way for those in the agricultural industry to network,” she said.
Last year, more than 160 people from all over the state travelled to Moree for the event.
“Basically the ball raises awareness of the ag youth group and encourages youth to get involved in their local shows. We will have a chance to talk about scholarships on offer that focuses on travelling and self-development,” Ms Jericho said.
The night will begin at 6pm with canapes and drink tickets.
“Entertainment will be by The Jay Seeney Band and the front man of the band performed last year and provided a great night, so were excited to hear from them,” she said.
Ms Jericho said the event was open for anyone involved in the agricultural industry.
“It was a great night last year and we’re hoping for the same, if not better this year,” she said.
