The initiative started five years ago and runs annually for 15 weeks to assist young ladies to develop strength which includes the ability to respond well to present and future life challenges.
One of the coordinators and Moree Family Support case worker,Yasmine Hall, said the program helped the girls discover their unique inner beauty.
“It’s about helping them to come out of their shell,” Mrs Hall said.
“They learn about communication, healthy relationships and everyday life including domestic violence, safe sex and other life skills,” she said.
“We get a lot of feedback, especially from parents about how the girls really change.
“At the end they really feel they have a purpose to be here.”
The girls and their families celebrated their graduation in Moree on Friday evening.
