On show are 46 quilts, located upstairs, in the month-long exhibition which started on Tuesday.
Moree Quilters president, Helen Mitchell, said the exhibition was held every three years and they recently hosted their 20th anniversary.
“All the quilts are man-made and we’ve got between 15 and 20 people who contribute. Some are first-time quilters while others have been doing it for years,” she said.
Colours included in the quilts range from pale pastels to blacks, but there were no standout colours.
Member, Peggy Carter, said she became involved in sewing when her younger children left home.
“Once that happens you have a bit of spare time,” she said.
“I’ve always been interested in it because I like the creative process. Sometimes you get forced out of your comfort zone and have to work with other colours and ideas which can be challenging.”
While the quilts are mainly for exhibition, Ms Carter said there had been occasions when people bought the quilts being displayed.
“It’s up to the individual who creates them because most of the time they’ve done it for grandchildren or someone in the family.”
The exhibition will run until September 19.
