BATS had a very successful first weekend with two sell-out performances with a very enthusiastic cast and audiences.
With over 1200 tickets sold in five hours, the 2014 BATS production is one of the most popular yet.
BATS president, Claudia Carrigan, said it always astounded her the excitement that surrounded the show.
“The hype and support for BATS really makes the six months of rehearsals and the countless hours of research and sewing of costumes worth it,” Mrs Carrigan said.
“Our ultimate motivation is the community and keeping its groups and services alive until the next show.”
‘Once Upon a Crime’ follows Prince Charming and the Fairy Tale Police Department in search of his beloved Cinderella.
It features all the childhood favourites, along with some of the more modern, such as Peter Pan, Snow White and Red Riding in ‘da Hood’.
BATS is in its 23rd year and has the biggest cast ever.
In 2012, BATS distributed over $40,000 in proceeds to local charities and organisations such as the local pool, co-op shop, pony camp, primary schools, nursing homes and more.
BATS will perform another six shows.
